The wax we use
Bushbalm Professional offers waxing and skin-care products designed around professional hair-removal services.
At Complexion Co. Skin Studio, we use professional wax to provide controlled hair removal across facial, intimate, and body services.
Our setup includes hard and soft wax, allowing us to select the waxing method based on the area being treated and the service being performed.
Our reasoning
Waxing isn’t just about removing hair.
The skin underneath matters too.
We wanted a professional system that fits our approach to hair removal + skin care, especially because many of our waxing clients are also working on concerns such as ingrown hairs, bumps, irritation, texture, or discoloration.
Two methods
Hard wax is applied warm, allowed to set, and removed without a fabric strip.
It may be selected for certain sensitive areas, coarse hair, or more targeted waxing services.
Soft wax is applied in a thin layer and removed using a strip.
It can be particularly useful when efficiently treating larger or appropriate body areas.
You don’t need to choose between them.
We’ll select the waxing method appropriate for the area, hair, skin, and service.
During your service
You’ll feel warmth as the wax is applied, followed by a quick pulling sensation as the hair is removed.
Some areas naturally feel more sensitive than others.
We use professional technique, appropriate wax temperature, skin preparation, and post-wax care to make your service as comfortable as possible.
Where we wax
In the studio
Your wax service begins before the wax touches your skin.
We assess the area, hair, skin condition, current products, medications, and relevant contraindications.
From there, we select the appropriate wax and technique.
Our goal isn’t simply:
Hair off. Appointment over.
We want to support the skin before, during, and after hair removal.
Hair removal + skin care
Professional waxing may be paired with or supported by appropriate home care and targeted skin treatments.
This is especially valuable for clients receiving ongoing intimate or body waxing.
Home care
What you do between wax appointments can make a significant difference in how your skin looks and feels.
When appropriate, we’ll recommend home-care products to help with:
